I realize that conditions may have changed at Virginia beach but by now much? Has someone been out recently and what are the conditions like after this warm spell ? Has the ice road been open and will you be able to still park on the ice?

thnx in advance

Looking forward to replies as well . I know Openholejiggin has been giving some pretty good updates as he is always out.

I was out last Sunday not to far from there. Lots of ice ! I think some place may open up being a pressure crack . Other than that I can't see 8-10" of melting away just like that. Thursday is dipping back down into the minus . Always nice to see a fresh update.....

good day,

ahh had to work today didnt get out... but drove by Port Bolster on the way home and she looks like a huge arena waitin to be skated on.. Seen 1 mini van and 1 pick up out there. so I would assume the ice is fine for that weight.. alot alot of run off today so stay clear of rivers/ creeks that run into the lake...

Thanks, I didn't think that the ice there would suffer much and with this warm stuff ending it will tighen up.

Good point about shoreline areas..those will be the weak points now
