Lots of current passed the third line of Oro . With that many inches I wouldn't go further out passed the Third. K - Bay should be fine unless a NW is Blowing over 30 km... Is that the full story ?

was out there yesterday, lots of good solid black ice around 6 inches where I was, but I was goin to go out from the 6th there and there was a huge crack already openin up all the way out headin south east from the north shore.. with the temps and wind today I could see it gettin bigger and wider out there... hopefully they're alright but who knows could be rumours... we'll see I guess.

Im the most anti-fine (for rescues) guy there is, but if someone was rescued out there today, they deserve to pay the fine. I was out not far from there and cracks were not an issue. even if they did find a wide crack a short walk would have got them around it.

the other board says stay off the main lake yet the moderator and some of the so called experienced ice fisherman are out on 3-6 inches of ice fishing for lakers and whitefish!keep repeating they are only fish,no only whitefish and lakers! these people still keep going out there,it is going to happen again as there are really strong winds coming in the next couple of days.

So the ? I have to ask with all these fines happening if some one had to be rescued now do you think they would think twice for help and think they could make it out with their own man power because now they know a fine will given to them if some one arrives / rescues them?
