Ok,

So Buddy catches this 30lb Laker off mono reno in about 40 FOW.

JEEPERS!!!!

Was a 2 hour fight but MAN was he thrilled.

(EDIT)

Ok, just texted him and actually he is admitting he did NOT weigh it.

i am gonna trust your eyes more than his. LOL

a very nice fish but I agree it's closer to 20lbs.


did he keep it or let it go ?

that is a nice fish no where close to 30,, i would say more like 15-17 ish

Regardless of the size, which I would estimate at 17-20 lbs, lets not let this thread get out of hand, it is still a beautiful fish

Still a nice fish! Definately 15 to 18lb range by my eye. Once again, to each their own. But, i find 4 to 8lb Lakers taste the best!!!

i kind of regret posting it now.

I edited the post after a few estimates at the weight, so that was fine.

It was more about WHERE this was caught than about the size. A great fish in an area it was not expected in and a great fight due to the size of the tackle.

Really, now it is even about the fact he did not comb his hair before the pic??

o well, will think twice next time.

Awesome fish for that area and it must have been an exciting time with it.

Who cares about the exact weight.....(even tho it is 20 maybe. )
