Hi all,
I fished Stinson's Bay and Pleasant Point this weekend. Ice conditions in both locations were great between 10 and 12 inches. Saturday fishing was slow but I'm pretty sure it was my own fault. I was fishing between 100 and 200 feet from shore with no luck. Sunday I headed out further about 400 feet from shore and managed 8 good size perch. Water depth was about 12 feet.
I'm definately a rookie at ice fishing Sturgeon so it was nice to land a few. Any other good locations out there?

I have heard Long Beach is good but never fished Sturgeon yet thru the ice. We keep our boat in Sturgeon for the summer though. We know there are lots of large crappie and bluegills but haven't tried ice fishing for them yet.

Ive been wanting to get out on some of the other lakes instead of always going to chemong but i have no idea where there are spots to get onto the ice. Are there any spots that have parking and can get onto the ice.

There was a fair amount of parking available at Pleasant Point for sure. Last weekend there was even a truck on the ice (I don't think I'd be that brave though)
Also, thanks npeterson re the Long Beach suggestion.
