My friend has a cottage on Bird lake, which is bass-only. We're planning on heading up to Bigwind Lake which is adjacent to Bird. Hopefully get into some lakers, not sure if brookies or whitefish are still around in there.

Anybody fished Bigwind lake before?

I've never fished it but here's the MNR fact sheet:

Thank-you! Good to know what species are present. I'll be referring to that site in the future whenever I plan to fish new waters.

Anybody know where I can find contour maps?

Update for you guys. We fished in on Monday of this week.

On the ice by 12pm, left at sunset. We moved a lot and drilled 12 holes in anywhere from 10 ft to 100 feet of water. At one point we drilled in the middle of the east basin and found 10 ft of water.... frustrating LOL.

We marked a grand total of 1 fish high in the water... 50 ft high in 100 ft depth. It chased my swimbait and grabed the tail... twice... then was gone.

That was it for the day
