been to air Cochrane a few times, always a great time, lots of fish, lots of bugs depends on the time you go.. The guys are great up there and its not a bad price compared to other ones.. Another one is Twin Lakes air or Nakina air out of Nakina Ontario, great service lots of fish just a little more pricey and a further drive... not matter where you fly in the fishin is always good, the fish are just sometimes a little smaller as it takes that much longer for them to grow in the colder northern waters... catch and release is manditory on some lakes and only pan size eyes are to be kept for a shore lunch as big eyes are better for the spawning and take years and years to get that big.
hope this helps let me know if ya need anymore info

I have a spread sheet on great lodges up north PM me and we can exchange info..
it all depends on 4 things ,, how far north do you want to travel,, what price do you want... what species are you after ,, and how much comfort do you need.
once those are answered I can tell you some options on the selection

My new favourite place is elliot lake. You can find Pickerel, splake, speckles, and lakers. what every water hunter could want in one area. I've been fishing in Algonquin park twice a year for the past 27 years and elliot is way better for quantity. I've got some chunky specks out of a hand full of lakes surrounding dunlope lake just north of Elliott lake. Ice fishing is excellent I've been twice this year and would love to shoot up north for one more go at it. I stay at dunlope lake lodge http://www.dunloplakelodge.com/ rooms, apartments, cottages sleeping 8 full kitchen nice place friendly owners Gord and Jane. The lodge offers boat and skidoo rentals also great food. Just ask Gord where the fish are biting and he will hook you up with a guided tour or point you in the right direction for a lot of fish. K I gotta go find a place to fish this sat
