Hey Folks,

Looking at the weather and i am thinking next weekend is still gonna be good for ice.

It was soft and wet all weekend and with the rain coming...

BUT, i see we are going to have some nice double digit minus nights.

I am thinking that the walk out for lakers should still be good.

Lets keep an eye on this, i am gonna pop by a check this week.

Gonna try and phone in well Friday then.

I am thinking is gonna be walkable at BBP.

Agreed FSHN FRK. Anyone who wants another try for Lakers and/or Whities, do it before midnight Friday. Stay safe all, the shoreline areas and the cracks will be increasingly treacherous from now on.

I went down to Innisfil beach this morning to survey conditions. I went right home, geared up the ATV and dragged my hut in to shore, then took it home in the van.

LOTS of water on the ice out in deeper waters off innisfil beach, slushy areas everywhere, the shore is tore up bad and real wet everywhere.

I would say if you have a hut out there try to get it off asap as the rain is deteriorating conditions rapidly. Later this week when colder weather comes back, a walk out with a portable may not be too bad. But it wont be pretty for hut removal if you wait.

There were ducks frolicking in the creek that was swollen and flowing fast to the lake.
Caution advised near the shore there and anywhere where runoff enters the lake.

Went in up to my knee right at shore on what looked like solid ice.
Had to come off where the swimming beaches are as the boat launch is a write off.
Even Roberts rd access is getting mushy with open water areas, and this spot is generally better than the launch/beach area.

went out from Beaverton way out, still lots of ice. A few slushy spots where there were heavier snow drifts.. The ice has gotten a little more crystally and easy to put the auger threw. But we still have a couple of weeks left anyhow for perchin especially with a little cooler temps comin..
