Guys, wondering if any of you know typical dispersal/movement patterns of perch after spring spawn. I know locations etc of where they are heading for the next 2 months but was wondering about late May and into early June.
Say fish that travel to the Atherly area - are they heading back out to deep water, say as in mid winter, or do they stay shallowish most of the early summer season (talking larger fish here, not dinks)?
I can tell you all about walleyes, smallies, lakers etc, but never targeted perch after ice fishing season. I gotta get on this cause the wife has developed a taste for them and wants to hit them when it warms up. I've been trying to get her interested in fishing for years and its finally perch that may do the trick - go figure!

I`ve caught some good feeds of perch just off the north end of where I live.(Georgina Island) from spring to fall. (was fishing for bass when in season!) Some as close as 8ft water to 50ft water. After this sucky winter of fishing perch, I don`t know where they are! Maybe I should give up fishing and start trapping??
