Ice conditions?, How are the ice conditions today?

How are the ice conditions on Simcoe? I was out on Sunday and went really great, just would like to know how the ice is now after rain and heat.

Ice felt soft , but still in good shape where I was. Went off roches point. People are still driving their toys on ice.Hope this helps Alittle. Be safe out there Fisher people, hate to see someone loose there stuff or life over a fish!

stay away from Sand Islands(off Georgina Island) an argo went in yesterday. Everybody and argo rescued. Watch out for cracks and stay away from shores,if you do get on ice. And don`t forget, where you got on ice,it might be under water when you come back. Be careful out there this time of year,fish is cheaper at Sobeys!!!! JMHO

Good advice islandal. All I would add is have at least one alternate exit route and don't go without com and nav aids of some kind, good things to have at all times.
