Is Lake Nippissing the only lake in Ontario that closes the perch season and if so why is that. Mike

no there are other lakes and rivers closed also and it's to protect more important species like walleye at certain times of the yr and some lakes it is to proyect population where high pressure fishing goes on.gotta protect those numbers.
