Well, I have been working lots and wedding planning lots.. (destination wedding) hehehe. Anyway, we did get a last fish in the weekend before shutdown.

We had a great day out on the ice. Very nice weather. Caught 4 pickerel keepers and about 25 perch keepers. Had a friend up from toronto and let them take it all as they were going to have a nice fry.

There was a herring caught I decided to clean right there on the ice...no one wanted to touch the stink fish...funny what a few beer get you to do. I've never had herring but heard it's good so it's in the freezer.

I had one that got away.. Very nice (large) pickerel but didn't bend to the hole... don't know what I was thinking. I tried to fling it out of the hole on the line....ya like that was going to work. lol.

Already can't wait to get the boat in the water. Booked the long weekend off and going to help my dad rebuild our dock....after some early fishing of course. lol

It was a great season for all and can't wait to get to the summer... although I think i like ice fhsing more. lol (I'm summer DD and Mark is winter DD)

Hey Michelle, figured you were busy as we have not heard from you in awhile. Nice to see you had a chance to get out one more time before the end of the season and it sounds like you had a pretty good day. Good luck with your wedding plans and keep us updated over the summer with your fishing reports.

Thanks for the post and happy to hear you finished this one on a positive note.

Even though I'm looking forward to the soft water season, I am already thinking of next ice season up there

I can't wait to get the boat in the water. This part of the season (closed) sucks. Only good thing is getting wedding stuff done. lol.

I'll get more fishing done in the summer as I won't drive on the ice myself but I do take the boat out every chance I get.... although I seem to not pick the best places to catch fish it's still fun. I'm going to try and catch a Musky.. I've never caught one.
