Just wondering if anyone can recommend any spring/summer Muskie spots on Lake Nipissing (East side or south shore area - goose island area, etc.).

Don't know the area but Musky opens 15 June and greater than 122cm (48 inches) to keep on a Sport licence.

Pike open 18 May Sport licence allows for 6, not more than 2 greater then 24 inches and of those only 1 may be greater than 33.9 inches.

Tight lines

Thanks onthemoney, and yes I know the dates well. I am more interested in observing and learning more about this elusive monster and it's stomping grounds on Lake Nipissing rather than keeping one (which I would never do....pictures are my thing...catch and release).

FYI: I have checked out Dan Colomby's website for Muskie and find it very informative, and the pictures are awesome. I can't imagine (literally) how it must be to see these huge monsters up close.

If I do manage to snap some photos, I will post.

Watch Muskie Hunter TV. Great show... Very informative on locating the Muskie. Although it may not be the same lake... You will learn how to look for structure and such.

During opening week they can be found in bays and rocky points near the smaller creeks they spawn in. It's an amazing sight watching these big brute's swimming up stream late May.

Thanks everyone.....many good suggestions. I actually subscribed to WFN via Cogeco....and am enjoying some Musky Hunter television...thanks for the tip!

I will try to visit the shallow bays on the south shore, near Hunter's Bay and Wade's Landing area...I hope to see some lake nipissing monstors enjoying the spring sun.
