Just moved to North Bay and was wondering what to fish for at this time of year....pike biting in in the streams or anything else in the lakes?

I'm sure someone from the area will chime in but here is some good info:

Just a heads up on areas that are closed:

Lake Nipissing – including the waters of the French River from the Chaudière and the Little Chaudière dams to Lake Nipissing; the west bay of Lake Nipissing in Haddo Twp.; the northwest bay of Lake Nipissing to the falls of MacPherson Creek; the Sturgeon River from Lake Nipissing to the dam at Sturgeon Falls; the Veuve River from Lake Nipissing to the chutes located in Lot 5 in
Conc. l in Caldwell Twp.; the South River from Lake Nipissing to Hwy. 654; and the entire West Arm of Lake Nipissing including Cross Lake.

Closed to all species from Mar. 16 - Fri. before 3rd Sat. in May & Dec. 1 - Dec. 31.

Watch Lake Temagami it has special regulations also.

There are species that are open year round and others that are open now or will shortly.

BIGGY !!!!!!!! READ AND UNDERSTAND THE REGS

And then there is Nosbonsing. The narrows are good for Pickerel. There is sunken island good for Muskie and the weed beds.

I fish near a large sunken structure that made a huge dip in the bottom. Good for fishing Pickerel...

OMG Just over a week till opening. I'm soooo excited

Ya wedding plans are going well. We still have lots of plans to go. I'm a procatanator.. My man has been great getting everything done. lol.

We are rebuilding a dock and then we can get to boat in the water. As soon as I get to the lake though I will be sending a few....I mean a lot of cast off shore. Should be good to go for a late Saturday fish in the boat.
