Hello I've been watching the board from Kitchener and will be up on the south shore next week with family, although my son who's 21 won't be with me for the 1st time in 20 yrs. Will have to drag wife out on those early morning runs. If I have any success will try to update as the week goes on. Also looking to retire up here in 2-4 yrs. KW Knight

Good morning, didn't get out until Monday, caught our limit of eyes in 22 feet of water leading to a shoal. Used a red & white jig double hook and fresh dew worms. We also got one large perch and a sheepshead the were returned to swim another day. One of the pickerel was blue.

Had another great outing, with wife, we caught six pickerel and through 2 back that were very small. Nothing above 15" as of yet. Wife caught a nice smallmouth that weighed just over 3.5lbs. Wind changed to north for a short period of time time and made for a interesting drift pattern. Hot and humid today may get an afternoon thunderstorm. Tried to load photo but it was too big. Still drifting in 22-18 feet of water marking lots of fish.

On the shore today, weather too unpredictable right now. Storm is suppose to roll through this afternoon, so hoping for more favourable water conditions tomorrow. Well be looking at real estate this afternoon.

Well the boat is back on the trailer it's Friday night about 5pm, I have a tall boy in hand and have had a great holiday. Yesterday I worked the south side of Griffiths Island without any success. In the evening the winds died enough we could venture out onto the main lake. Lots of boats working the shoals but few catching. I was able to get one pickerel before we headed back to the cottage. Was up and on the water early this morning with my wife and sister we had our limit and threw back 2 small pickerel and one bass as I did want to clean another bass. We only fished for an hour. This afternoon I took my parent out (82 and 83) my Mom completely out fished us. They got their limit in pickerel thanks to Mom and Dad had one bass which he brought in, (he cleaned it).
So it's been a great holiday, I've got my wife talked into retiring up here in two to three years. Yesterday while weather was unsettled we headed to Restoule and checked it out. One nice home but prefer Nipissing. Will monitor board throughout summer, and post how I make out Ice fishing in January. All fishing caught were on shoals with jig and worms in 18-22 feet of water drifting. Cheers KW (Kitchener-Wtaerloo) Knight
