Hi all,

My young daughter is heading to Port Dover next weekend and wants to do some shore fishing. Does anyone have any info on fish species can be caught there and and methods. She just wants to catch a couple fish and have fun. I am not sure if she should bottom fish with worms or use a float. Any help would be great.

It may still be a little early but perch fishing from shore can be good there. Minnows are the ticket! either drop shot, or pickerel rig.
Cheers!

Thanks Mark, I hope there is a place close she can buy some minnows. Just kids fooling around but it would be great if they catch something to keep the interest going.

Green Giant niblets corn for carp and big minnows near the bottom for channel cat. Might just be warm enough by next weekend for some of them to start showing some interest.
