Looking for shore fishing location

Hi folks,
My wife and I recently moved to the Hamilton area, up from Windsor. Unfortunately, I don't have my boat or canoe here at the moment. We are looking for a place to get some shore fishing in, species isn't that important as we just want to get out and enjoy the spring weather. Willing to travel up to 2 hours in any direction if need be.
Any info would be appreciated as this is our first spring in this neck of the woods.

Go to the pier by the lift bridge and casting there you can get into browns and rainbows. Lots of people used to smelt fish yjere as well. There are many places to go, just read thru the posts and it will give you ideas. But no one can post very specific spots so a little investigating will be necessary. Good luck

Bob is right that pier is a good spot to throw spoons, like Cleo's. also 50 point marina is good as well as some spots in Grimsby.
