Nosbonsing is still 4... hehehehe
But that didn't matter this weekend. We didn't get the boat in the water till late saturday so I was not able to drive the boat by that time.
Sunday was rain rain rain. We were able to hit the lake around 4 for a bit and again at 630 till 9. NO FISH.. there were sooooo many may flies on the lake you could hear the HHHMMMmmmmmm . We had to head off the lake cause we could hear some thunder and didn't want to take the risk. We only seen one of the boats bring in a pickerel and they had to throw it back. I was sick of the mayfiles though and was ready to get away from that. WOW they are thick out there.
Monday was North wind very strong so I could not take the boat out at all... too shallow to use to motor to get away from the dock and wind right towards us.
Gosh not even a sun fish but thats what those flies will do on that lake. should be some good fishing in a week or so.

It's ok there is a lot of work to be done at the camp as it is our first time out this year. I only work three days this week so as soon as the winds turn from north then I am back out there.

Hi Michelle, just wanted to say I fished Nosbonsing for years on opening weekend and found the walleye fishing always good. I found the spot they call Flat rock to be good and I always use minnow, if you need minnow go see Henry over at Birchhill Camp he always has lots of nice spot-tail shinners perfect for walleyes. In fact the area right in front of his camp is another good walleye spot in the spring, I caught many eye's just casting a minnow/ slip bobber rig from shore in the afternoon right in front of the camp.Talk to Henry aswell he ussually can set you in the right direction for some fish, good luck out there.

His camp is really good for fishing. I see them catching them right off the dock. I will def get some minnows for my next fish.
Thanks for the tip and reminder. Where I camp is off south shore rd but Marks parents are at birch hills... I guess we went to the wrong camp for the opener.

I've fished Nosbonsing for a few years now and had decent success in the past. Where is this location that they call "flat rock" gps coordinates? we generally had luck off the point west of the narrows on the south shore and in the weeds east of the narrows.

The board rules can be found near the top right of any Forum, should be read by all. We need to remind ourselves that the internet is a public place, open for the whole world to see. In the past, posting of GPS coordinates on the internet has resulted in hundreds of boats converging on that spot the next Saturday.
