Flat Rock is a large section of flat rock on the south shore pretty much straight across from the bay that Birch Hill camp is in. There are usually a few boats fishing the area, when your there you'll realize why it's named flat rock.I never used a gps up there, like Michelle I just use shoreline features and a depth finder to get on the spots.

As stated by ThorahGuy on this same post - give out a GPS coordinate and next week hundreds of guys will show up at that very spot. People put a lot of time into fishing to find these honey holes so I don't know why anyone would want to give them up in the first place.
"just north of long point in 10 to 15 FOW" is permissable.

I think I am going to learn how to use GPS this summer. I really should know so that will be one of my goals. maybe I can GPS some of my spots instead of the church, the roads, that really long dock, the table the rock. lol

My weekend report is not good cause I didn't go out. lol
Well, I didn't make it into the boat. Had it uncovered then covered it when the rain came. Stayed on land for the rest of the weekend. Was rain first thing every morning except one...the one I was not able to get up for nothing. ah well. Most of the weekend was great weather and we just decided to soak up the rays from land. I got some nice pictures from land and I did catch something... a turtle
oh and just to show you a fun pic of my poor dog we made a rain coat and hat for one night.

Thanks for your report and pics Michelle. Nice to see the Goose family. It always amazes me how quickly they take the little ones to the water, it's within 24 hrs, I believe. That Turtle sure is colourful and your dog does not look pleased.

yah those geese are there every year but I've never seen babies.
I found the turtle under the boat.... I noticed splashing near the weeds and was casting for a while and caught nothing.. then I noticed no minnows at the dock and found him under the boat. Only took him out to get a pic. I'm sure that turtle will stay around till a musky comes by..
Speaking of musky.. too bad the season wasn't open. I saw quite a large one swimming around a dock about 5 trailers away from me. We were right down there and could have brought him up with a net if we wanted.

Funny about docks and netting fish. Quite a few years back one of my grandsons netted a 4 lb. smallie right off our dock. If I hadn't seen it I would never have believed it possible.

"The one I was not able to get up for nothing" - dressing your dog up in grocery bags - sounds/looks like there might have been just a little drinking going on over the weekend.
