Carp fishing in east GTA

I'm still not sure where we are going to fish yet this weekend but trying to figure out my options. Has anyone tried carping in the Ajax/Pickering area? I need to get out fishing and would like to try something new so figured that the carp seem to be spawning now so may give them a try and it's close to home.

I am planning on driving around and looking for some carp spots. I have not fished for them, but in the past I have personally seem people fishing for carp at Bluffer's Park and Rouge River. I can direct you to the exact locations.
