Weekend weather was perfect, today not so good here, rainy, wind and cool..
Cheers, Jerry
PS: Good on you guys finding those walleye, I know they have been tough to locate out that way and my friends who are local would kill for those beauties, but don't worry secrets are safe with me..

Thanks for all the replies, we really do love it here for the fishing and the scenery! I think the lucky LSO hats are making a difference!!
We headed out this morning before the bad weather came in but didn't know what to expect because it was an east wind. We took our friend from the island out as well and went to our favourite channel. We all took our turns catching fish, first Glenn with a 22", then Jay with a 24" and myself with a 22". Glenn then caught another small 21" pike and then lost a big fish which had almost straightned his hook! My guess was either a large pike or possibly a walleye but we never saw it. Jay then myself proceeded to hook and then loose a large fish each. At least we were keeping things even.
Things slowed down a bit with Glenn only catching a couple nice perch which we kept so we decided to move. I had to use the washroom and since we had a new person on board, didn't feel like using the pee cup so we went to one of our favourite spots which just so happens to be a parks island with a washroom on it. While I did my thing, Glenn and Jay fished from the docks. After I returned, Glenn had only caught a couple of rock bass but I decided to throw my dead minnow out to see if there was anything bigger down there.
Well, the fishing gods must have felt sorry for me having that big pike flip off the boat before getting it's picture because I had another nice fish on. We didn't realize how big it was until Glenn tried to net it but it barely fit. He did manage to wiggle it in and bring it on the boat. This time, we got pictures first before measuring it and it was a new PB at 35" and very thick. I must not have stressed out the fish too much because it kicked away within seconds of me trying to revive it. Hubby thinks the one yesterday was a bit longer but not quite as thick.
After this monster, we were getting hungry so decided to end on a good note and head in. It's raining now and will be it for fishing today and hopefully we can get out tomorrow but rain is also in the forecast.

Watch out for fish nappers..
Yeah, that walleye was definitely a surprise but a nice one It would be nice to find an area with eater walleye but for now, I'm happy catching these ones. The pike are plentiful anyway.
Glenn is holding his own this week so far and not just being net man
For sure, you have to co-ordinate to be out her with us. We know quite a few good spots that always produce quality fish and where I caught that fish today is our best.
