had a wonderfull family out . Dad and 3 sons.

managed 6 for 8 and 4 more knockoffs.

Dad never touched a rod, just wanted the sons to get all the fish.

It was a nice overcast day and good to be out on the water.

All of the boys got the personal bests to date.

Gord will put up pics for me.Thanks Gord

Great report Shank, it's always good when it is all about the kids.

Way to go getting them on the fish.

OK Shank, lets see how this goes. I'm at the cottage on mobile Internet which can give me attitude at times. Today has been one of those times.

The teacher and the student . . . How to hold a fish correctly.
A real nice Laker, about 17 lbs. Released after photo.

Couldn't get the young lad to hold the fish high enough but still good enough.

Some nice fish there Shank. Hope I got it all sorted out right. The pics took forever to down load but uploaded to the site reasonably well. Funny thing this internet.

Hey Werner glad you were able to put them on the fish not that I ever doubted the fact. If those young lads were not hooked before the trip they probably are now and thanking Dad for the great memories.

Thanks folks......that is a real nice family and they have already booked another day out in the summer to go nuts with the steelhead fishing.

They ate that salmon.1/2 of it on same day using my recipe and the one young lad who doesn't eat fish had 2 helpings.

Another Convert!

Wish we had a closer shot of that laker, it was large and had quite the shoulders.

A great revival trick at this time of year is to fill large cooler with 10 gallons of water and put a 5 quart water bottle in it frozen. Chills water down and reviving fish is easy.

matter of fact on th trip with Fishsniffer, both trout were still swimming at end of outing

Works well with lakers and smaller salmonoids until surface temps exceed 70 plus.

if they get jostled areound toomuc in rough waters, then you need to release them much quicker.

Of course best relese method is no netting, no pics and just pop hook out of moutht and let go, but that is not always possible.

We been using this method with great success for well past 10 years.

2 bags of ice would accomplish same thing I would think
