I have been in a bit of a rut this summer fishing but I do always love fishing. Good luck catching that muskie. You have just as much chance catching one off shore as in a boat I was going to hit up the lake again yesterday but was called into work ARG.

I am on vacation for a week and am planning on hitting Lake Nipissing pretty hard for Muskies (researched a few spots and need to check them out). Never caught one, but I am not one to give up. If I do see or catch anything, I will be sure to let you guys know.
Good luck to all of you. Sounds like Michelle needs some positive vibes sent her way...I have always been a strong believer that women seem to have some sort of knack when catching fish. Hang in there, your muskie will be in your boat soon enough...especially if you fish Nosbonsing a lot.

yes that fish will make it to the boat sooner or later.... I think the longer I go without a muskie the more exciting it will be.. although I don't want to wait much longer.
Good luck on your trip no matter what your going to have a blast

I have caught a lot of sheephead over the years ,,but always though them back. Was talking to a fellow fisherman that told me they were good to eat , was a little hesitant about it but I tried it was ok the taste was a little different. The next time I went I ran into the same person ,and he asked me how it was I replied it was ok ,then he asked me how I cleaned it. I replied I filleted it then he said what did you keep ,, hade me puzzled there for a min I said the hole fillet, he chuckled and said on a sheephead ( fresh water drum ) You only keep the strip on the back ,,when filleted and skin removed turn it over cut along lateral line throw away the belly part that is where that funny taste comes from ,, so I tried it with the next one I caught. And he was right it was pretty good now all the sheephead I get I keep,, now that I now what to keep lol
