Goverment dock in North bay

hey i was just wondering if the fish are biting in lake nippising at the government dock in north bay. i heard when the shad flies are out the fish don't bite.

When shads are out, the fish get their fill and it's pretty hard to get a bite. I have seen people pull in fish during that time, but not too often.

Was there yesterday got my limit in pike biting good ,,,
