We are heading up to Lake Nipissing next week and hope to keep a few fish for a meal. What type is best in terms of keeping the fisheries healthy. I guess perch would be good. Is it better to keep some small pike, or is walleye better. We plan on releasing any large pike or any Musky if were get that fortunate.

The conservation license vs regular is brilliant. I hope my state of Connecticut considers this.

Walleye, Perch, Crappie are number in my books for eaters. I also do enjoy a pike when filled properly! Muskie and Bass I always realise.
