Took some folks out today since weather was much nicer than forecast and we went perching and beat them up.

Lots of sizes but managed to get keeper limits for everyone by 1 pm. with biggest ones at 12.5 and average of 10.5 inchers

Lots of double headers and strictly a minnow bite as fast as you hit the bottom they were on it.

Dropping shotting was the way to go.

sorry folks, no pics as folks did not wish to be on line.

I needed a perch feast and feed myself

Oh, location was Erie and not where the pack generally runs to

Hopefully next outing will have some photos

Dinner was great

Hey Werner,

Great report.. Sounds like you did very well on Erie..

I used to fish for Lake Erie jumbo perch on the shore many years ago.

Great fish and sizes and IMO taste the same as Simcoe Perch..

But don't tell the Simcoe crowd.. LOL..

Sounded like a great day with lots of action. The perch have been hard to find in the St. Lawrence right now but we have at least one more weekend to try and get a perch fry going.

Very nice catch and day.

I just spent 6 days in the hospital and then 10 days at home off my feet attached to IV'S and just started getting around and this post energizes me. Maybe I can get the neighbour to get me out on Erie for a catch of perch or find a hot spot from shore.

Again nice catch and great fishing.

Good job Shank but we miss the porn

Gord......I know, but there are many people I take out that really don't want photos on the net....

There will be "porn' in the future for sure

For the rest of you, perch have been hot for at least a month now. and for me it's so much closer

Chewie...........ya, a perch fix or just gettingoout will lift your spirits.

Shank you are so right. Just getting out. Mentioned it to the neighbour and he laughed at me. GEEEZ. I was serious. We are near the Hamilton area and Erie is not far to go. Oh well.

Keep the good perch reports coming people and enjoy your moments.

I'll need to find a shore spot. Maybe take a drive to Barrie and try it, I have never fished there. Hopefully it works out.

Nearly all the small towns on the shores of Lake Erie have great public docks for perch fishing this time of year. The place I used to go is near Nanticoke. But I am nearly certain Port Dover, Dunnville and Port Colborne have shore fishing opportunities.
