OK, so I am getting fed up with the weather as each time the river just gets into good shape with visibility we get another 1-2 days of cranking winds that "blow it out"

Speaking of blowing it out, I blew my seals and impeller on last outing thanks to someones 50 pound brain on a foul hooked slmon that I got into my prop.

I abviously could get it all repaired quickly enough, but have decided that I just need a break from fishing..........with clients that is, so now will just pursue personal fishing outing with friends and family.

it's been a long enough season for me anyhow even though November is one of the best months on the Lower.

For those of you planning any outings get a hold of me and I can update you.

Right now, the lakers are on fire and browns and chrome are beginning to get hot as temps have droppped 10 degrees in 10 days.........a good thing

Port has monster BT's going on..............if you like wall fishing.

Perch are everwhere and crappie are on as well

Why the crap am I putting my boat away again

Lol Shank. I know what you mean. Mother Nature!
Well now that you have no boat maybe we can finally get out together?
I'm going to give it a shot on the weekend.
Cheers!

I cancelled the weekend for 2 reasons...........the boat issue and forecast

SW 40 again

It's a different game when you go with buds or on your own.

Clients need to know a few days ahead due to travel plans

Ya, FF, I'm there with you should you wish to do the river.but not this weekend...following should be prime time.

NS......thanks, but it's funny how we have been talking about seals and impellers and wham, there go mine....could have waited another month

I'm pretty sure my impeller is still functioning , but since I have to do seals, I might as well do the whole thing.
You do not want a disabled boat on the river let alone anywhere else.

Ordering full kit today

River is blown out as of saturday.....still can catch some fish, but it's tough going.

Prudence says to wait for a while.

hi guys just got back from the whirlpool and queenston and port d, we fished all day and got skunked but did see some nice fish caught at the whirlpool but not many, and port d guys where catching a few browns and chromers there as well but not many again.we talked to 5 boaters st queenston and nobody got any bows or salmon but there was a few out perch fishing that did well.me and my son was planning on drifting in the boat but due to the high winds we settled for shore fishing and i must say cant wait to get back in the boat lol.we will try again in two weeks good luck to all heading there next weekend.

I rest my case

Someone will always get a few fish even under unfavourable conditions, but for me , not worth it when I know how good it can be

Thanks for the update Werner.

I hear you with the bad weather this fall..

Also heard through the grapevine that mud and murky water was a problem on Lake Erie this fall as well and the bassin wasn't stellar.

Good to hear the PD boys are starting to get into some fish.

Sorry to hear about the boat troubles..

I know you'll get into the fall gold soon..

Cheers, Jerry
