Turkey Season, (...might as well focus here!)

New gun this year. Yes!
And getting ready for the upcoming season, I made up some "home-made" targets to pattern the gun (10" outer circle and a 2" centre). I have the Primos Turkey Head targets, but these I hope will help pattern and count pellets better.
X'mas provided a variety of shells to try out, so here's hoping practise ("life in the fast lane") produces a combination to do well this year.

I love turkey season, but it's a long ways away yet. Best to practice on coyotes for a while or targets are the only thing you will shoot at this spring.

Or,..... Do both(?) It's pretty much a rifle range for coyotes around here. Also counting on them to get more active/aggressive over the upcoming breeding season. So I'll get the turkey gun patterned and readied for Tuesday, April 25th. Good luck with both.

Turkey hunting is a year round passion. Predator management now will ensure turkeys to have a more successful breeding, nesting and brood rearing season.
