check the link, some local Keswick and Windsor men charged for illegally harvesting a moose and bear without proper license and fines were handed out. Always small fined but I think hunting and fishing suspensions should also follow the fines.

sounds like the ministry got there money for tags and both animals where in season and tagged by the group. doesn't sound like they did anything that the majority of groups out there haven't done at some time. they just happened to get caught.

Speak for yourself. What an unbelievable comment
X2 With a comment like that no wonder everything from littering to out right poaching is getting worse. Isn't there an old saying about the measure of a man is what he does when no ones looking? Wish we could get back to them good ole days.

sure no one on here will admit to it, but lots of moose hunting groups will make sure at least one guy in the group buys a bear tag, or will even chip in on it in case someone sees/shoots a bear. don't see why a bear tag should be any different than sharing a deer tag as long as the animal is in season and gets tagged. just another money grab to make sure they collect a ridiculously over price tag fee from every member.

EXAMPLE. its $48.43 for a bear tag. If you have ten guys in a group. all ten guys each buy a tag every year and they maybe see and shoot 1 bear every ten years while moose hunting. that one bear would cost $4,843.00

Don't know what your point is. The guy who shot the bear didn't have a license. When party hunting deer everyone has to have a license. If you want to participate in a hunt you need the appropriate license otherwise don't participate.

There is lots of things that we may not agree with in this world but the law is the law. If the law is broken we must pay the piper. If we follow the laws we are ethical hunters and fisherman

O brother one guy buys a license and 10 guys go hunting, no wonder there are no more moose. Poaching is poaching a spade a spade
Actually that would be the norm just all 10 have licenses just one may have the tag. There are party hunting rules in place to give everyone in the group a chance while reducing the chance of killing more than what you have tags for. Rules are rules and are meant to be followed. Problem is people are inherently selfish and too give themselves an edge believe rules are only for the other guy.
