Hey guys, I know everyone is gearing up for the turkey season and potentially spring bear but I was wondering what other types of ducks people have seen or killed on simcoe other than the usual (I.e mallards, teal, woodies, Canada's etc) thanks for the input in advanced, cheers!

ok thanks for the reply, i'm working on putting together a spread of decoys mainly geared towards simcoe. No point in getting decoys of ducks that don't use the lake.

There are two sets of shovelers hanging out at the beach this spring Dave. We have got a few pintails the last couple years as well.
Keep an eye out for a bag of mallards and woodie decoys with MRA on the bottom. Someone stole them out of the bay I hunt on simcoe. I broke my leg and could not get in there to get them. Talk about being kicked while your down.

depending time of year, we got mallards in McPhee bay then on the points go for northerns later on in the season, thats on the north end of Simcoe, Bayshore village to mcCrai park
