"Hypothetically"... if someone bought a storage locker and found some nice LEGAL rifles (no machine guns or hand guns) inside, what steps would he have to take to bring them home and stay legal.???? I could not answer this question for him because I have not bought a gun in 30 years. Mine still shoot straight and go "BANG" every time I pull the trigger so I have no real use for another unless it is a 410 shotgun for grouse. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My wife wants me to give up hunting and take up knitting after my SECOND fall from a tree stand. The fall did not hurt but the stop at the bottom sure as hell did!!

I'm not sure, I've never been in that situation but I would think as long as those firearms are Non Restricted and you have a valid PAL they are now yours no paperwork needed.

If he does not have a PAL then he can get a friend with a PAL to hold on to the guns for him while he gets the license, or while he sells them off. Without a PAL he cant transport them anywhere outside that locker.
If he does have a PAL then he can do with them whatever he wants.

Not only can he not transfer them outside of that locker he can't have that locker in his possession and be able to access it. Like have the key or the combo.
Ie if I'm licensed and my wife isn't she can't know the combo to my safe.

Well guys.....there was no need to worry after all. Picked up the locker and the gun safe was EMPTY!!! Well....at least I got another gun safe so I am just going to have to go out and purchase some more guns to fill it. It is a fairly nice safe though. Still looking for the key.
