another trick staple a string the the bottom of the trap & tie a empty beer can to it if you catch one thats a runner the beer can doesn't fit where the mouse goes

Ya, but they can spit out little rodents at a pace of 8 per month so it might be hard to keep up if they are in a part of the house that isn't accessible.
