I just thought everyone would find this article interesting. It’s a shame it died, but interesting due to it being where it was.

This just makes me more excited about going into the bush...you never know what you could possibly see.

not necessarily so; elk were released in the Nipissing-French River and Bancroft areas. Not that far of a migration to get to Innisfil....200 kms.

I was lucky enough to see about 15 Elk just north of the French River, slightly south of a truck rest stop a couple years ago on my way to Sudbury. I had to do a double take because at the time I didn't know they existed there. Not to mention it was the first time I had seen an Elk in the wild. Amazing!

Apparently the Elk would not use the tunnels built under the highway so that is why they built the animal bridge.
