If there are cougars in Ontario they sure are camera shy.... 10,000 trail cams can't be all wrong

I saw one a few years back between pefferlaw and Virginia beach

100 percent it was a cougar, they are around . We have a Bob cat in the family that was hit by a car in 47 wma South of north bay . Can't rule out the cats existence in Ontario.

I was in Dorset on Tuesday and there was a set of tracks down the middle of the road in the snow almost the same size as my hand and I have large hands. Definitely a cat of some type. Spoke to a local and she had a full size cougar in her yard 2 weeks ago.

Also have 2 friends that have pictures of them on their trail cams in the Baxter area. Just curious about actual sightings.

How's the popcorn? haha

I also saw some cat tracks recently, within an hour or so of that area. They looked like a very large bob cat or possibly cougar.

100% they exist in ontario. They have been found 700km from where they were originally collared in the U.S. They cover a ton of ground. A good friend had a close encounter with on in wmu 80

Here is an article that was just in our locale paper about cougars. I was in the Ganny ATVing 4 or 5 years ago when one crossed the road about 100 yards ahead of me. Talked to a woman at the Ganaraska Forest Centre office about it and she told me is must have been a dog. At that point I realized I was wasting my time. Bet I would get a different response today.
