My wife and I recently moved form North Bay to a remote fly-in community. We don't have a vehicle so we haven't done too much hunting sadly, however we did manage to set some snares on Saturday! there are more where this came from.

cook it in a crock pot with vegetables and potatoes. Did you take your dog with you?, If no crock pot available cook on open fire in a cast pot or dutch oven and make some home made dumplings

Thats sounds great! we brought our dog north with us. We got her out spruce grouse hunting with no luck earlier on in the fall. We didn't take her rabbit snaring though haha

quarter the meat as you have done, coat lightly with salt and pepper and roll in flour, shake of remaining flour, wrap it with bacon and fry it in butter, when cooked drizzle with a bit of lemon fresh if possible, this allows the natural flavor of the meat to come thru you will enjoy this

I used to cook my rabbit the same way when I was young except for the lemon. That’s sounds interesting, will Have to try in the future. 👍
