Has anyone ever hunted rabbit in any of the york regional forests that permit hunting? Was thinking of walking one of them with my .22 and wanted to know if anyone has had any luck.

I grew up in Vaughan and I remember those days my friends and I would go for walks on Saturday and shot rabbits. We were 13 years old and no one gave a crap. Now all the land there are developed. Kids there will never get the same experience we had 20+ years ago. 13-15 y/o walking the bush with dad's .22 wasn't a big deal. Today the kids will get a youth record and dad thrown in jail.

That was you? Yup watch the city grow up around me. Biggest nail in the coffin was when they pushed the 407 threw. But nature has a way to survive. Still some spots to run the dog granted its just for show. Woodcock still are to be found on their migration south and back. Even the odd pheasant to be found.
