I was recently given an old pair of bear paw snowshoes, I'm guessing 25 yrs plus but still in good shape, I am looking for leather bindings to keep them authentic, lots of plastic or ratchet type for sale and even a leather pair on amazon however they have poor reviews. any info is much appreciated as always

Check out Canadian Outdoor Equipment. www.canadianoutdoorequipment.com they have some great stuff and sell the faber leather bindings for old school snow shoes. Usually ship really fast too.

Traditional snowshoes are by far my favorite- make sure to check the lacing to make sure it is still properly sealed- nothing worse than having the stiff lacing exposed and start to suck in the moisture and have it stretch and fall apart on ya!
