That’s a healthy looking big body deer for this weather we have been having.

Great pix of a healthy animal, As long as we get the odd mild spell and not too deep snow cover the deer should pull through well, not so much for the turkeys , the area I hunt has deep snow now and with these -25+ temps they can't get around as well for nourishment .. Expect to find more than a few feather piles under the roost trees this spring..coyotes will be happy ..

My deer went into winter well, check out the fat on my doe , she looks like a cattle beast going to market...

This coyote has to be feeling the cold! Mother nature can sure be cruel!

Driving your sled through the bush during a mild spell really helps the deer get around. The track pack will freeze allowing the deer to walk on it with ease.

Just after I left for work today, a doe was about to jump in front of me. She seemed to have the smarts to go away from me. Usually they are as dumb as a stump in these parts. She had a nice weight and looked very healthy.

Too bad for that mangie yote.
