No money dumped into the drain if you drive away. I got a tag the last 3 year and I apply and hunt alone. Im driving 20 hrs and I didn't hunt longer to 3 days to get my moose the last 3 years. so if you have a week off, 2 days traveling will give you 3 days of hunting in a good area with less hunting pressure.
In my book I prefer hunting 3 days with a bull tag in my pocket then 5 days for a calf.

Planning on going earlier this year and get some fishing in .
