I got my first Tom ever today. We had gobblers all around us and funny enough the one I got never gobbled. He just stuck his head out from behind a line tree less than 20’ from me. It happened so fast I missed on the first shot but got him clean with the second.

The bird was also special as it was double bearded with white spurs. Kind of cool.

Excellent way to start a long standing tradition of turkey hunting for you. Very nice bird and a double for your first, nice. I have shot lots and never have taken a double.
