The Anti-fish/hunt movement will never understand this because they are too deluded and too removed from a true understanding of the life-giving blood of the land and our living ancestry.
A quote from a famous hunter and author:
"The kill is the satisfying, indeed essential, conclusion to a successful hunt. But, I take no pleasure in the act itself. One does not hunt in order to kill, but kills in order to have hunted. Then why do I hunt? I hunt for the same reason my well-fed cat hunts... because I must, because it is in the blood, because I am the descendant of 100 thousand generations of hunters. I hunt because I am a hunter." – Finn Aagaard.
I love, love, love that quote. And I personally would like to emphasize that I am a fortunate descendant of 100 thousand generations of hunters and fishers, who used their hunting/fishing skills to keep my bloodline going. They fished and hunted and provided for their families, and they ultimately passed their genes on to the next generation. We are a very fortunate group to share our hunter/fisher ancestry genes and skills with our ancestors.
