Buck Mini Iceman Knife. Cdn Tire has this knife on sale for $14.99 (reg. $44.95).

Blade: 2-3/4" Overall Length: 6-5/8"
Handle: anodized aluminum with rubber inset an a pocket clip.

I've carried this knife in my hunting pack for a couple years now. It's held it edge well and is very handy for small jobs around camp (including notching a license, etc.). Being a Buck product, the quality should be "reasonably good". I picked another one up for a Christmas present.

Thanks for the heads up. I have a similar knife by CRKT. Got it 70% off on a whim and it has turned out to be my #1 knife I use. It cuts very well, I have a scar on my left had to prove it. LOL. While on a rabbit and grouse hunting trip I accidentally cut myself when trying to cut a bagel in half - how embarrassing) , ended up with 6 emergency stitches at the Timmins hospital That's me in the pic with the blood stain on my jeans from my careless cut to my hand. Anyways... a MAN cannot have enough knives. Gonna see if I can get that Buck knife.

OK... maybe I'm crazy. I bought it. I bought another knife. Couldn't resist the 67% off offer. I didn't waste time with this one, I bought it online for in-store pick up.

I ended up buying 2 of these. Not as good as the buck I have in my pocket, but a lot cheaper. They will make good backup knives for packs

$45 regular is a rip off for that knife but $15 is a good deal. Nice find.

Species...2: I agree completely. Like mentioned ("confessed") above, I picked one up to throw in the truck for "whatever", but found myself grabbing another(?) -- under the excuse of Christmas.

Sorry to cross sports, .....the Rapala Pro comes on sale a few times each year for a great price. It's usually marked down from $29.99 to $9.99. It come with a sharper as well. I have a couple of these around the boat, garage, and kitchen. They hold an edge well and are actually standing up better than the classic wooden-handled Rapalas I own.

Funny you mention the Christmas angle. Picked up 3 today for stocking stuffers. And as an aside i have the mentioned Rapala Pro - came with my OFAH membership a few years back. Use it more than my classic wood handled Rapalas but I still use the wood ones every once in a while for the nostalgia. Those wood handled knives are as classic as my 45 year old orange jointed floater that still catches lots of pike and bass.
