I really didn't think this was going to end this way. You obviously don't live in the city. 15 ft? Wow! Why didn't he get his drone out of there when he saw the gun?

Personal drones have to be flown within eyesight; that I know for a fact.
Keep in mind that drones are now part of an Ontario Land Surveyors arsenal of tools. Would you shoot at a surveyor if he was looking for property stakes? I believe he has access rights if he is performing his duties.
Not calling this particular incident a surveyor situation but shooting first and asking questions after the fact is not the way to go IMO.
