Small game just open here for me on Saturday. Bush is still a little too thick for grouse. I usually wait till October. Have a long season where I am. Closes Jan 15th. The gov changed the rules for deer this year so I can hunt with a shotgun during black powder so that gives me 5 extra days of deer hunting this year. Pretty happy about that.

Always enjoyed the grouse on my previous property. Tasted just like turkey to me.
It's been a few years since then, but I might go for a walk in my local "bush" once the ground firms up. Cheers,

Always like pictures of the geese, but I'm bad as well, sometimes I forget. I will be waiting for deer archery season now to start up again. I might do some dove hunting as well if I get my decoys, waiting for them to get mailed to me.
Put 1 camera out today and trimmed up some under brush on one of my ground blinds today. Will go back on Friday to clean up the other 2 and put 2nd camera out.

I started thinking after I posted. Why wait? Went and picked up the license on my lunch. Going to head out for a grouse walk after work:) Not many times you can hunt in a t-shirt around here!

I took a walk with my son at my brothers property yesterday afternoon. Got one shot at a woodcock, of course my rusty shooting skills worked in favour for the bird Saw one more woodcock and no grouse, but we weren’t really in full “hunt” mode, more of a leisurely wander in the woods. Was a beautiful day to be out that’s for sure.
