40yd. I have no intention to go out this far, but if that once in a lifetime buck is standing there and interested in a doe looking the other way and the light is perfect and nothing in the way, maybe. I is amazing how long it took the bolt to reach the butt at 40yd. A deer could be a long ways away or turned, whatever long enough the it could be a miss or worse, a wounded deer,

I could go on thursday, but I'm going to wait until Saturday and Sunday. Thursday chance of rain and wind about max I will go in bush. Friday a good day to go fishing, so the deer will have to wait a couple days.

Well the weather man was wrong go figure, there was no wind. Should have gone hunting, here is where I would have been this morning, 20yds away

Washout, I sharpened all my knives yesterday, nothing worst then a dull knife when you need it. I even took the stone to my kitchen knives, my machete and knife I leave in truck. Can't be to prepared.
