It was dec.6,2018 about 10:00am ,came across these 2 bucks fighting,9 point and 10 point. The 9 point stuck a tine in the 10 point chest cavity and punctured a lung before they locked up.While fighting the 10 point died of the puncture and now they where locked. The 9 point dragged the 10 point approximately 30 yards where he had to stop for a rest and then the excalibur took over...SOMETHING I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE...

Great looking mounts and storey. I watched a pair of bucks fighting a few years ago. It was quite a battle. Thanks for sharing.

That’s an amazing story. I almost shot a buck while he was mounting a doe but couldn’t get a clear shot and about 50 yards so a bit of a stretch for my old Excalibur as well. I can’t imagine that experience, fantastic! Did you have to use 2 tags😁!

All my mounts have a story behind them. It's fun to tell the tales.
Congrats on your mounts and cool story.

I think I was lucky aswell shot 2 deer with one arrow from ground blind reliazed after I shot the buck cause the other buck had the arrow sticking out of it with two separate blood trails and there was snow to help me out one 9 point at 70 yards and the 8 point about 140 yards it was great cause I had 2 tags in my pocket which I had bought an additional tag .
