Woke up a bit late but out the door at 530am, short 10 minute atv ride and set up by 540am. Rain held off all morning which was perfect

Lone tom snuck up behind me and I was able to call him out and seal the deal at 740am

nicely done. I went to the wrong spot. I stayed in the bush, should have setup on the edge as 3 jakes and 6 hens were in the field for quite awhile. I did see 6 deer walk by and 2 seperate coytes and single hen walk by. Too bad the yotes were just out of range. That probably why didn't see much in the bush.

It was a "Dear Penthouse: I never thought it would happen to me, but...." this morning. At first light and at the end of the rains, 3 toms and 8 jakes roared across a field towards me. Never been there before! All birds passed by in range but the Toms were in the crowd didn't give a clean shot. It's early, ......I hope(?) On May 31, it would be "B.O.O.M.! What did I get?"

Congrats to all out this morning and good luck to all still chasing!

I had birds near me with two BIG toms.

I made some light calls just to hear a field over other hunter start smashing on their box calls because they heard me. They couldn’t even see the bird from where they were but could hear me. I swear they were the worst Turkey callers ever as they hammered NON Stop for 20 plus minutes not even taking a break to listen once.

The birds I saw I watched leave really far away.

I walked out and drove my truck back to my blind so they would see me and stop calling. 😂😂😂.

I went back in the afternoon and the big Toms were back with 6 hens so I couldn’t even get to my spot without them busting me.

Another day will come.

Don’t worry Disco..after about one week most people move on to other less important things and you’ll have them all to yourself. Keep at it and good things will happpen.

I witnessed something like this last fall for duck season. Was quite a laugh to sit back and watch it go on 15 mins back n forth until they realized.

Oh it gets worse. Didn’t go Monday morning. Got there Monday afternoon to find someone trespassed and shot a bird on the land I have permission to hunt.
