Well weather man did it again. Completely wrong, supposed to have cleared up and be sunny. Well it did snow like they said over night, but it rained on the way to the bush and continued on while I sat there. Didn't bring rain gear so was getting pretty wet. so after 2 hours haven't seen anything and breeze changes 180. So pick up my chair a belt, walk to the trail and have a look behind me and there is a Doe walking broadside about 30yds out. I put my stuff down put crosshairs on her and she still hasn't seen me, just continues to feed walking across me. She gets about 60yds out and turns and starts walking towards me. She finally turns and continues on till she is out of sight and I continue on my way.
So I entered this controlled hunt saying I'd give it 2 days looking for a buck. So tomorrow all bets are off.

do you have this full week to hunt ? deer are curious, funny story i used to feed duck marsh back through woods. deer season i walked back to marsh and came back to my uncle ,heard something and he whistled thinking was a dog. nope .deer were used to me walking in and out , when i stopped deer stopped, never saw it but only tracks. deer quite often will look over shoulder where they just walked. good luck, at least you are seeing deer.

yes it is a full 7 day hunt. I agree, that deer are curious. I have walking into my spot when there is fresh snow on the ground. I went start down the trail to the other side of bush turned west about 30yd my ground blind. When I left got back to where I turned and there a big buck track. It had followed me from one side of the bush to the other, when I turned west it turned east.

Since we have a black powder hunt in our area we are unable to bow hunt this week. So I am living vicariously through your posts. Thanks for posting and keeping us up to date.

Day 1 in our area was a bust -- 7 hrs in a blind. Day 2 was a bust -- saw a doe last thing.
The other half of our fractured group have 4 animals harvested. They went 1 for 6 seen Monday and 3 for 3 today. 'I don't think I'm with the 'EAGLES' if we were a reading group! -- Just group 2."
