Thought I'd give a half time up date. I'm standing where I was yesterday as wind out of South. I have a tree about 20 across right in front of me. I like to keep a tree to hide behind. So I have clear look to the west and east have to look around tree. About 830 to my left I see a deer walking my way, it still out about 75yd and lots of saplings so knew it wouldn't see me move around tree. Moving around tree was my second mistake. 1st wasn't looking for other deer. So when I| moved around tree that deer couldn't see me but the 2 that were a lot closer could. While i was drawing a bead on the one the other 2 decided was time to go so the all lopped away. Not going to take a shot like that so watched them go back the way they came.

got to the field edge at 345, set chair up and decided I should trim some twigs to make a good bow land. So went to go into field and looked first there was a deer about 300yds to the left, so sat back down. it stayed about the same distance away just going out further into the field than back to bush. at 445 nothing happening so thinking I'd be leaving early. at 450 there is a deer about 50yds to the left, then there are 3. I'm thinking let them go, put gun on one then take it back down. did this a couple more times, than it dawns on me that I said I'd pull trigger on the next one I could so I did. Wasn't impressed with shot placement, but it worked. Will take the gun out before next season to dial it in better. So my season locally is done for this year with 2 Does.
