So went out this morning to help landowner with some stuff, then into bush to put a camera and clear shooting lanes for 2 of my ground blinds, would have done 3 but it was so hot decide could wait. Also setup the butt for some practice and make sure things were still shooting correctly.

This first photo is the matrix 380 at 20yd. I did shoot to 30yd but didn't get a picture

This is the 355 micro at 20yds. The 30 yd shots weren't quite as good but close. My eyes were stinging from the sweat, so I will blame that. I will get out again before I go deer hunting to for the practice.

this is one of my locations for a ground blind. it is actually past me about 20yds out. My camera is 25yds out in front of the blind, I have to be careful I don't shoot the camera. Last year couple minutes into shooting time it was still to dark to see with all the leaves on. I saw the light from camera go off but couldn't see way. Few minutes later my phone vibrates. I look at the picture and it was a real nice buck stopped looking at camera.

Nice shooting! Looks like ur dialed in. What’s the location like do they naturally flow through there or do they come into feed on bait?

Sounds like you have a good travel corridor spot near a bedding area. The location its self is the attractant. I find areas like this are good if you use the less is more approach- not baiting calling or using scents and decoys and all that extra stuff. Patience is key in good locations like that.
Give that spot some extra attention during the rut!

I do nothing but sit there and watch. I have another spot that is actually better, but last year it was a lake where they travel, this year it is dry so I will watch this spot more at least in the early season unless the camera is showing lots of activity. My 3rd spot is late season spot that over looks a field that they feed in, but beans this year so might be a hard hunt there as they really like the corn better.
