Deer Hunting, October 10

Well today was a great day. At 830 a Doe comes out on my north lane 20yds out walks halfway across turns and walks a couple steps towards me, then finishes crossing lane as it's fawn which is big crosses behind her. I just didn't feel like pulling the trigger today I guess. They then cross my east lane and keep going south. 20min later they come back following the same path and I just let them go again. took a bunch of pictures but I guess I need a better phone this one is of the fawn at 25yds in east lane , rest are all blurry.

Nothing wrong with watching.I do it often. My gut tells me when it’s time to pull the trigger. Happy hunting

It's too early to hang meat.

If it's this easy now, wait 3 weeks for that monster buck who's following some does in the rut.

I prefer Doe's but will take what comes along. Normally if it is brown its down. yesterday it just didn't seem like the time, maybe too easy. I take my deer straight to the butcher who hangs it in a refrigerated walk-in cooler that holds probably 10 deer. he calls when it is cut and frozen. It usually takes about a week, but if controlled season it could take longer. He does work outside of his house, so it is an after-work job, and he also likes to get out and hunt himself.
